WE ARE A NON-PARTISAN CAMPAIGN OF VOLUNTEERS
We call on Parliament to repeal the 2008 Climate Change Act, because the Act is having huge social and economic consequences, which MPs can no longer ignore.
The UK's climate and energy policies are too expensive, too ambitious, too complex - and ineffective. The government's blind faith in drastically reducing CO2 emissions will profit only a select group of green companies and officials at the expense of everyone else.
The EU climate and energy policy will cost £165 billion a year for the next 87 years. And Britain’s energy policy of subsidising windfarms, solar panels and wood-burners, is due to cost us £1.8 trillion over the course of this century - in exchange for a temperature reduction of about 0.005˚C — which will be undetectable by normal thermometers. Is it really worth it?
This climate law will not stop the climate from changing - but it has already increased:
Please write to your MP and ask them to support repeal of the Climate Change Act.
