Resilience Association

Our past and our future

The Resilience Association was previously known as BANG (Business And National Government), an organisation with some 2,600 plus Linked-In members (www.bangportal.com), which will shortly be informed that they now need to re-register with the Resilience Association.

It is a new organisation established to be Not-For-Profit, managed by a Committee, which is currently registered with the ICO and financed by the committee, now requires sponsors for the launch of "Resilience Today" as our Communication to members (www.resilience.today).

At this time the Resilience Association website is currently made up of holding pages (www.resilienceassociation.org), however it is intended to provide those who have registered on the website access to on-line information and supplier information resources, training and knowledge. In addition it is also planned to have a supporting link where “Resilience Practitioners” can register their Continuing Professional Development (CPD), providing an independent record for employers.

Other events are planned, in addition to those held monthly, examples being; Annual Debate, Alternative Awards and Annual Congress, supported by two key initiatives; Women In Resilience Exchange (WIRE) and Young Resilience Professionals Exchange (YRPE).

We are establishing a Resilience Association that will represent the wider resilience community, the initial subject matter areas being:

  • Business Continuity Management;
  • Information Security Management;
  • Oganisational Resilience;
  • Facilities Management;
  • Emergency Planning;
  • Crisis Management;
  • Disaster Recovery;
  • Risk Management;
  • Operational Risk;
  • Health & Safety;
  • Security;
  • Audit;

In summary; Our approach is to provide a platform / hub / forum for resilience professionals globally, delivering a transfer of knowledge and collaboration through events, training, research via the Resilience Association website www.resilienceassociation.org
