Rhythm & Light

Rhythm and Light's primary aim is to empower the black community, through creative writing, to make informed decisions about their health via various initiatives and events, including 'My Story in Rhythm'.

Rhythm and Light is a dynamic duo of researchers who are poets. Through creative expression they aim to:

• amplify the voices of people affected by cancer in the black community

• normalise conversations about cancer in the black community

• promote cancer awareness in the black community

• increase uptake of screening in the black community

'My Story in Rhythm' is a collection of poems sharing the real-life cancer experiences of the black community in the UK, with the overarching aim of raising awareness and increasing the uptake of screening in the black community.
