Rita Parniczky

Artist Rita Parniczky primarily works with weave, installation, photography and light. Her work explores the interaction between structure and light. Fascinated by the invisible structures of objects and materials, she investigates ideas based on materiality, change, time and human experience.

Rita studied at Central Saint Martins where amongs other media and techniques she mastered the art of paper cutting. She uses the technique to explore the interaction between light and shapes and layers of paper. These artworks in 2D and 3D are visually compelling and fascinating.

Rita has led workshops for British Council and Crafts Council, has an upcoming workshop in Sweden, and worked as visiting lecturer for art colleges such as Norwich University of the Arts and University for the Creative Arts. She has won numerous awards and had national and international exhibitions. For full profile please follow onto her website here.
