Salmon Youth Centre

The Salmon Youth Centre is regarded to be a flagship youth centre for the voluntary sector. For over 100 years, it has provided a place and purpose for children and young people in Bermondsey in the inner London Borough of Southwark. Located at the heart of its community, Salmon holds a record as one of the longest continuous serving youth centres in the UK.

At the Salmon Youth Centre, we encourage healthy lifestyles in young people, focusing on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. We also give young people space to explore their creativity through dance, drama, music and visual arts. Last but not least, we inspire and support young people to develop ambition for learning and work.

We welcome around 500 young people every week. Our doors are open to all young people between 6-25 years. Our aim is to build long term, life-changing relationships through regular social interaction. Every week, we run seven open access clubs and over 20 specialised clubs.

We have recently been recognised as an outstanding youth centre and were awarded the PQasso Level 2 quality standard for third-sector organisations.
