Sarah’s passion for homes and interiors was inspired by TV shows ‘Home Front’ and ‘Changing Rooms’, along with her university textiles course. Marrying these together led her to set up her own soft furnishings business, Pebble Blossom, 10 years ago. Offering a complete service from measuring up, selecting fabric, to making up and fitting. This was also combined with running classes to teach curtain and blind making.
The feedback Sarah has received has been so positive that Sarah has decided to rebrand and relaunch her business, focusing purely on teaching others how to make soft furnishings to a professional standard, so Home to Sew was born.
Home to Sew is located in a converted cotton mill which stands on the Macclesfield canal in the picturesque small artistic town of Bollington in Cheshire. Offering professional tuition to individuals and small groups to make Curtains, Blinds, Cushions and other home accessories.
With her 10 years business experience, Sarah can also share her knowledge of what it’s like to make bespoke items for the home, and for others. She has built up a bank of suppliers, and has a vast array of experience working with fabrics, products and customers, which can help give you an insight into working in the furnishings industry.
