Scale UWTSD

Scale is a new project, designed to support business development and growth. Scale will run throughout 2024, supporting Swansea-based enterprises entrepreneurs and graduates.

Scale will provide assistance to enterprises wishing to develop new products and services as well as to incorporate new technologies and processes. This will be delivered through a series of business focussed workshops, one-to-one surgery sessions and collaborative research and development (R&D) projects.

In addition, Scale will also work with aspiring entrepreneurs and start-ups through a launch pad and accelerator programme, designed to create new sustainable Swansea-based businesses.

Scale is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, administered by Swansea Council and delivered by UWTSD.

Eligibility

Scale is open to all Swansea based micro, small and medium sized enterprises as well as individuals that want to start a new business. To check your eligibility, do take a look at this map of the qualifying region: (download link to map of qualifying area).

As part of the registration process, we are required to record some personal information, including your name, the organisation you represent and your contact details.

Why are we collecting this information?

This registration sheet is being used by the Scale Project for project monitoring, reporting and evaluation purposes.

This activity is part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The University of Wales Trinity Saint David has a legal obligation in the administering and monitoring of this funding, in line with audit requirements, to capture data in order to evidence activity has taken place.

Organisers of meetings, events and activities are required to record attendance of participants. The data collected will be stored securely by the University for the duration of the project and for a period of ten years after the completion of the project. Upon request this data will be shared with Swansea Council and UK Government for purposes of audit. All parties will at all times comply with Data Protection Legislation.

By participating in this activity you are agreeing that your data may be held for audit purposes. The data will also be deleted before that time if a request is made for deletion which is acceptable under GDPR.
