School of Dentistry, University of Central Lancashire
UCLan's School of Dentistry provides a growing portfolio of flexible, part-time, postgraduate degrees, along with the graduate entry Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme and a number of courses designed for dental care professionals. The focus is on continuing professional development, allowing general dental practitioners the opportunity to further their skills and education in their chosen area of interest, whilst maintaining their clinical practice. The School works in conjunction with governing dental bodies, ensuring that the curriculum offered facilitates transferable skill development.
Taught sessions are held at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston, in purpose-built facilities incorporating phantom-head training areas as well as dedicated lecture and seminar rooms. As one of only a few universities nationally to boast its own on-campus Dental Clinic, we are fully equipped to give all dental students direct access to practical experience in high-end dental work, within the institution.
