SEAS -socially engaged art salon

SEAS (Socially Engaged Art Salon) is a space for exhibitions, events and workshops that concentrates on socially engaged practices. It is the only gallery & artist residency in Brighton that exhibits exclusively social and political art. SEAS exhibitions engage with issues of social justice, art & diversity, LGBTQ issues, refugees and migration.

Founded in 2016, and located at the BMECP Centre, SEAS has become a beacon for socially and politically engaged art in Brighton and southeast England. It is part of the Social Art Network UK and it is supported by the Art Council England.  SEAS is directed by Dr. Gil Mualem-Doron, a local artist and a curator.

If you would like to book a space for workshops / short term art and photography projects, interested in our Artists’ Residency, would like to help in our exhibitions and event or collaborate in any other way please email
