Since 2012 Shauna has been a private cookery tutor in her home in Spitalfields. She is an ex-Private Chef and cookery school professional. She received her Culinary Diploma from Ashburton Cookery School in 2008 and stayed on to work as a Chef’s Assistant at the school for a second year before working in professional kitchens and other cookery schools, namely School of Wok Asian Cookery School in Covent Garden, London. During a cookery sabbatical spanning six months Shauna trained as an artisan cheese maker for Sharpham Cheese Dairy in south Devon, England. Using the rich milk from its own Jersey dairy herd near Totnes, Sharpham Estate is well known for its fine English wines as well as its award-winning cheeses.
Shauna’s biggest challenges was being employed as a Private Chef within luxurious private villas in Geneva, Monte Carlo and St Barthelemy. This was followed by three years as sole Chef aboard 50m superyachts—gruelling assignments of which were not for the faint-hearted—crewing and cheffing extensively whilst visiting exclusive ports of call in the Mediterranean and island hopping in remote Caribbean islands.
"Her interest in cookery started at an early age and her career has taken her around the world. She enjoys the simplicity of home baking, sharing skills with others and encouraging home bakers to embrace organic, Fairtrade and high quality ingredients."
