Sidcup Symphony Orchestra

Sidcup Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1961 and promotes frequent concerts in South East London. It is the Orchestra in Residence at Bird College in Sidcup, with which it collaborates regularly. Repertoire includes symphonies by Beethoven, Brahms, Mahler, Schumann, Shostakovich, Sibelius, Suk and Tcahikovsky, ballet scores by de Falla, Poulenc and Stravinsky, concertos by Gershwin and Rachmaninov, Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, film scores including Star Wars and Zulu, and opera scenes by Puccini, Verdi and Wagner.
