Solar 4R Schools is growing a nation of science educators capable of delivering hands-on, engaging renewable energy education in the classroom. Using creative funding partnerships with businesses, solar installers and participating schools, we’ve developed projects in more than 250 schools in 20 states and Washington D.C., serving a combined enrollment of over 100,000 students per year. Solar 4R Schools projects empower educators with an on-site solar array, connectivity to one of the most robust solar data monitoring centers on the web, renewable energy STEM teacher training, teacher-generated classroom activities and customized science kits correlated to Next Generation Science Standards. Solar 4R Schools is a program of the Bonneville Environmental Foundation.
