I am an events creative and writer based in Lewes, I relish the opportunity to bring together extraordinary people in a beautiful surrounding and see what happens!

Salon Sophia and The Silk Thread Series grew out of a desire to create and curate beautiful spaces where people can come together to talk, to share and to listen. 

In this fast paced, screen dominated world I crave thoughtful spaces of exploration and connection that value and appreciate a feminine perspective, the kind of spaces that allows for playful, creative, courageous expression.

I love the idea of a salon being a gathering of enjoyment and inspiration, which from their inception in the 17th and 18th Century were occasions of equality, often being run by women and attended by people from different walks of life. Originally they were held in bedrooms and living spaces of houses, so it seems very fitting to be able to hold them in the beautiful home-like surroundings of Closet and Botts and I am very grateful to Chloe and Harriet for allowing me to make use of their lovely shop for these events. 

I look forward to welcoming and meeting you at a salon sometime soon.
