South West International Development Network

The South West International Development Network (SWIDN) connects NGOs, civil society, think tanks, academics, consultants and business/private sector organisations to work together collaboratively on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

More than 150 INGOs are based in the South West, making the region the largest global development sector outside London. Cross-sector partnerships, including with academic and business organisations, will be vital to the successful delivery of the 17 SDGs.

With the shared goal and desire to see an end to global poverty, SWIDN plays an active role in supporting charitable and voluntary organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty in any part of the world by providing them with advice, information, training and services to enable them to pursue their charitable purposes and improve the efficiency and management of their resources.

We provide:

  • High quality, sector-relevant, convenient, affordable training opportunities
  • Networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities
  • Coordination and dissemination of information across the sector
  • A platform for for any person or organisation to engage in ending global poverty
