Southern Area Hospice

Southern Area Hospice Services is a charity providing care free of charge to local people with cancer, and other terminal illnesses, such as Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, HIV and Aids. Care is provided for patients residing in the Southern Health Trust Area, from
Kilkeel to Ballygawley and from Crossmaglen to Portadown.

At the Hospice we care for almost 1,000 patients annually and rely on 73p in every pound coming from fundraising to enable us to care for and support patients and their families. The Fundraising Department has to raise £2.6 million in 2018 to maintain the level of care currently available. This equates to £216,666 per month, £50,000 per week or £7,123 per day.
