St Columba's Hospice in Edinburgh is a leading provider of palliative care and support to the local community throughout the city and in to the Lothians.
St Columba’s Hospice works with patients and families to find out what matters most to them. We help people to live and achieve the things they want to do. Making the time to explore what is important to patients and the choices they have is fundamental to our care.
Our compassionate and skilled team works hard to ensure death is as pain-free as possible. We try to take the unknown and fear out of dying for patients and their families. The care and support we provide is a vital service that helps families through difficult times.
We provide round-the-clock support and care for patients and families. The Hospice has a 30 bed inpatient unit and we also see patients as outpatients, in our day services, and in the community too. Patients have a range of illnesses including motor neurone disease, heart andrespiratory conditions, cancer and many more.
Since the day the Hospice first opened we have been an independent charity at the heart of our local community, providing care and support to people when they need it most. All our services are provided completely free of charge to all patients and their families.
St Columba’s Hospice strives to ensure everyone within our community has access to excellent palliative care whoever they are, wherever they are and whenever they need it.
