stem4 is a charity set up in 2011, based in Wimbledon, who supports teenage mental health by targeting early identification of commonly occurring mental health issues in teenagers; raising awareness and enhancing detection, education and motivation. stem4 brings people together to share experiences and to work towards best practice through their conference programme, for students, school leaders, school nurses, and health professionals.

stem4 provides comprehensive, evidence-based online information via their website, with a focus on four clinical areas: Eating Disorders, Self-Harm, Anxiety & Depression, and Addiction. Information is targeted at four different audiences: young people affected by the conditions; their friends; their families and carers; and schools (teachers and nurses). The website helps users identify early symptoms, provides some self-help strategies, and signposts to early intervention.

stem4 are also the developers of the award-winning Calm Harm app, which helps young people manage the urge to self-harm.
