Sugarwise is the certification for sugar claims on food and drink. It gives assurance that products on which the marque appears have been stringently tested and are low in free sugars. The organisation's mission is: (1) to increase the amount of low free sugar choices people have available to them, and (2) to raise awareness of and generate greater demand for lower sugar options. Oher activities include hosting events such as the Sugar Summit in Parliament, lobbying on VAT with the #donttaxhealthy campaign, providing relevant and straighforward information, for example on sugar substitutes, and responding to consultations in support of sugar reduction initiatives.
