Temple 80, Hub Cymru Africa and Watch-Africa Cymru

Temple 80

November 2018 marks 100 years since the end of World War One, and 80 years since Wales’ Temple of Peace was opened as a memorial ‘to those men and women of all nations who gave their lives in the war that was to end war’. Gifted to the nation to advance the causes of health, peace and justice from the local to the global, the Temple’s founding mission to build a better world remains more relevant than ever today.

Temple 80 is a month-long programme of events to mark the remarkable contribution of generations of inspiring people and movements… and to shape the aspirations of a ‘new generation of internationalists’.

Hub Cymru Africa

Hub Cymru Africa is a partnership bringing together the work of the Wales for Africa Health Links Network, the Sub Saharan Advisory Panel, Fair Trade Wales and the Welsh Council for Voluntary Action.

Hub Cymru Africa is hosted by the Welsh Centre for International Affairs at the Temple of Peace in Cardiff.

Watch-Africa Cymru

Watch-Africa is Wales’ Annual African Film Festival celebrating the best of African cinema. Launched in 2013, the festival provides a platform for African films, art and culture in Wales. It brings a wide-range of films covering areas across the continent, as well as engaging and interactive activities and events related to the festival. It provides a platform for works by African, African diasporas as well as Welsh and international directors and artists which bring fresh perspectives on Africa to its economic, social, political and cultural life.
