The Brilliant Club is an award winning social enterprise which works to widen access to the UK's highly selective universities for bright pupils in non-selective state schools. We do this by placing doctoral and post-doctoral students into state schools to work with small groups of high performing pupils, delivering university-style modules based on their own research. We work with 6,500 pupils a year and a third of them are eligible for free school meals. Our partner universities include Cambridge, Oxford, University College London, King's College London and Warwick. The pupils gain a window onto a niche research area in a subject not available at school, taught by a world expert in that area. We try to give them the knowledge, skills and ambition to get into a leading university.
