The Emily Davison Centre

1 in 3 women around the world experience physical or sexual violence. So for the next 16 days, UN Women is calling on everyone to take a stand to end violence against women and girls.

The Emily Davison Centre is the first ending violence against women and girls hub in the UK and is based in East Lancashire. The hub is home to a number of specialist local and national services, providing a centre of excellence on issues such as domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking and all forms of gender based violence, abuse and exploitation.

Over the 16 days the centre will be providing a number of activities for individuals, communities, families, professionals and public officials.

People interested in volunteering can attend a workshop on the 9th of December.

We will finish on the 10th of December (International Human Rights Day) with a Reclaim the night March, an event for all genders and all ages to stand together against gender based violence.
