The Friends of the Parkland Walk

The Parkland Walk is the longest Linear Nature Reserve in London at 4km in length, and follows the former railway line connecting Finsbury Park to Alexandra Park which opened in 1873. Walkers, dog walkers, runners and cyclists all take advantage of the space. The Friends of the Parkland Walk is an association formed in 1988. The aim of the Friends is to achieve balance between its often competing roles as a nature reserve, linear park, footpath and cycle route. It also sponsors guided walks and wishes to develop its educational value and help people appreciate its worth.
