The Hornbeam Hideout

The Hornbeam Hideout is tucked away in the woodlands of Hampshire and stands as a dynamic centre for the community providing Forest School and Outdoor Woodland Learning Sessions in a safe and inclusive space for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. A place to experience time outdoors with the opportunity to build confidence, self-esteem, relationships, nature connection and learning opportunities in a natural setting.

Forest School is a child-centred learning process, offering opportunities for holistic growth through a long-term program that supports play, exploration and risk assessment. We are an FSA Recognised Provider and use their 6 core principles as our foundation.

Activities designed to promote learning, personal development, mental health and wellbeing include: whittling; fire making; nature walks; den building; litter picking; animal encounters; cooking; climbing.

Sessions are provided for children 5 years + including an after-school club and holiday club. We run a weekly family forest school session and monthly adult session.
