The Moor Meadows Group
In 2015, a new community initiative in support of Dartmoor meadows was established by a small number of local people whose aim was to start a friendly group to help each other in conserving, restoring and creating flower rich grasslands in the landscape of the Dartmoor National Park. A meadows Email Exchange was set up which has some 80 active members, plus a series of Meadow Open Days and talks. Some members have an established wildflower meadow, whilst others have a pasture they wish to convert to one. Yet others simply have wild areas in their gardens – gardens and orchards can be wildflower meadows too.
