Running this year (2016) from Tuesday 22nd November to Saturday 26th November in London, the Festival will be screening an exciting mix of films chosen by an international panel.
This year’s UK Film Festival will once again be offering London audiences a unique chance to catch the latest award-winning short films on the big screen. Besides short films, the programme includes an innovative selection of feature films by established and up and coming directors, as well as cutting edge documentaries, and animation films. Films are screened to the public every evening at two central London venues. Many screenings will be followed by filmmaker Q+A sessions, after which there will also be an opportunity for informal discussion with the film directors present.
The UK Film Festival celebrates the best in filmmaking from around the world - from mainstream films that go on to win Oscars to as yet unseen masterpieces. Now in its 6th year, the festival offers awards for Best international Short film, Best British Short, Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, Best Animation, Best Music Video and Best Student Film as well as Special Awards for excellence.
