The University of Manchester at Harwell

The University of Manchester at Harwell (UoMaH) provides an interface between researchers at The University of Manchester and the national facilities at Harwell (Diamond Light Source, ISIS Neutron and Muon Source, Central Laser Facility and the Scientific Computing Department).
Our core technical team provides equipment and support for high risk experiments and those carried out under extreme sample environments. In addition to support offered to our colleagues in Manchester, we welcome working with researchers from other academic and industrial organisations.
UoMaH research fellows are based in Harwell but affiliated with different departments within the University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering. Each fellow pursues research in their own area of interest (advanced materials, catalysis, electronic structure and magnetism, fusion, mineral physics, subsurface energy and storage, and resilience).
