My courses are designed to help people to develop their photography knowledge and skills. Courses are designed for users of dSLR cameras, bridge cameras and advanced compact cameras with aperture priority or manual shooting mode. Please contact me if you are usnure about the suitability of your camera.

 

Enjoy a relaxing but stimulating day unraveling the mysteries of digital photography. Gain control of your camera and learn how to use the important controls to improve your picture taking. The stunning Bolton Abbey on the banks of the River Wharfe is the perfect place to explore and practice your new-found skills. No previous experience is necessary, as we will ‘start from the beginning’. Courses are also suitable for people with some experience who want to take better pictues.

You will learn:

  • Which are the critical controls
  • Which controls you can ignore
  • How to take well exposed shots
  • How to take sharp shots
  • How to improve composition
  • Which settings to use for portraits
  • Which settings to use for landscapes
  • How to manipulate exposure to get the effect you want

The cost iincludes:

  • Tea/coffee on arrival
  • Two course lunch
  • Afternoon tea with scones, jam and cream
  • Free parking (usually £8 to visitors to the Bolton Abbey Estate
