Tunbridge Wells Winter Lantern Parade

CREATE in partnership with the Royal Tunbridge Wells Round Table are delighted to announce that Winter Lanterns 2019 will be going ahead in Tunbridge Wells!

The parade will be on Saturday 9th February starting at 5.30pm at The Royal Victoria Place, parading down Camden Road with your wonderful lanterns and finishing for the first time at the Grosvenor and Hilbert Recreation Ground – Auckland Road entrance.

As with previous years, we will be holding lantern making workshops during the lead up to the parade. admission to all of our workshops are free.

If you wish to make a lantern, We will have 5 different lantern making packs to choose from which will reflect the parade's theme of Outer Space and will cost £5 each.

Each pack will contain all the things that you need to make a lantern, including an appropriate LED light and instruction and you can choose weather you would like to make the lantern at the workshop or take the pack home with you. All you will need is some PVA glue (which will be provided at the workshops) and lots of imagination to make a stunning lantern to show off in the parade!

Artists and CREATE volunteers will be on hand to help at all the workshops so fear not if this is your first time making a lantern and all proceeds from the packs will go towards the parade as well as helping to fund future community workshops.

Places are limited and there will only be a small amount of tickets available on the door so be sure to book your ticket through Eventbrite to guarantee your place in the workshop and to avoid disappointment!
