Tyneside Beekeepers

Tyneside Beekeepers is a friendly, open group of beekeepers based in the North East of England, around Newcastle and Gateshead. We are open to both beekeepers and those interested in bees. There are regular talks, demonstrations and training on beekeeping, gardening for honey bees and other pollinators, and hive produce processing.

We have bees at Saltwell Park and a teaching apiary further up the Tyne Valley. Look out for beginner courses coming soon.

We currently meet up on the last Tuesday of each month at  St Helens Church Hall, Belle Vue Bank, Low Fell, Gateshead NE9 6BR for our series of winter talks on beekeeping.

April to August there will only be daytime apiary site meetings. Get in touch with the apiary managers if you wish to come along and borrow a bee suit.

Everyone is welcome whether you’re already a beekeeper, just curious, or wanting to start.  Please come along and have a chat and a cuppa.
