UK Mathematical Systems and Control Theory Network

Chris Guiver is a lecturer in the mathematics group at Edinburgh Napier University, and started the role in July 2020. Between January 2016 and June 2020 he was a Lecturer in Applied Mathematics at the University of Bath. Chris obtained a Mmath and Ph.D. in mathematics in 2008 and 2012, respectively, both from the University of Bath. Between 2012 and 2015, he was the postdoctoral researcher at the University of Exeter.

Susana Gomes is an Associate Professor in Applied Mathematics at the University of Warwick, where she moved in 2018 after a PhD and postdoctoral positions at Imperial College London, and undergraduate and MSc degrees from the University of Coimbra in Portugal.

Boumediene Hamzi is currently a Senior Scientist at Caltech's Department of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, an Affiliate Fellow of the Data Science Institute at Imperial College London, and an External Researcher at the Alan Turing Institute (London, UK). He has twice held the role of a Marie Curie Fellow at Imperial College London, and once at Yıldız Technical University and Koç University (Istanbul, Turkey). His early career included roles as a Temporary Assistant Professor at the University of Paris-Sud/Orsay, an INRIA Research Fellow, and a Research Assistant Professor at UCDavis (CA), and subsequent positions at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in Berkeley, Duke University, and the Fields Institute in Toronto.
