For 2017, the theme is Uncertainty, describing situations in which we have incomplete knowledge with which to make informed decisions. The theme will be addressed by distinguised speakers in Philosophy, Mathematics and Physics, Social Science, Politics and Governance, Economics and Faith perspectives. The speakers at the 2017 Malvern Science and Faith Weekend will address the topic of Uncertainty from their own standpoints, and the accompanying discussions and activities will allow participants to follow up their own interests within this overall theme.
An important part of the Weekend is the art and science activity day for children, which this year includes maths and science workshops and a rock guitar physics show as well as demonstrations and art activities
There is no charge for entry to events at Malvern Science and Faith Weekend, though there are considerable expenses. As in previous years, we will ask at each event for your donations towards those costs.
Refreshments will be available at many of the venues. Buffet lunches must be booked in advance—see event descriptions.
Malvern Science and Faith Weekend in March is organised by Holly Mount United Reformed Church, Malvern, working with a small group of committed individuals in the community.
