UrszulaYogaBe
Hello, I'm glad to have you here!
I’m Urszula, and I have been teaching yoga for four years.
My Yoga journey started 10 years ago when a friend introduced me to Kundalini Yoga. Needless to say, it felt awkward to start with but as I went along I got increasingly hooked and curious to the point that I embarked on a kind of exploration of various schools and styles of Yoga over the years such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Jivamukti, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Ashtanga as well as Yin, Nidra and such elements of Yoga as meditation, pranayama and kirtan. All have had a huge influence on me on a very personal level and the style I teach.
I have also been exploring the link between Yoga and psychology and neuroscience and and the positive impact Yoga has on healing traumas, anxiety and depression.
Drawing on my journey, experience and interests, I teach yoga classes in a way that encourages students to seek flow both in a pose and throughout a practice, gentle study of the emotions and interoception that one experiences in a pose. I encourage students to make that experience mindful and connected to the energy and breath movement in their body. If you are interested in knowing what qualifications I hold, please see below.
Our busy lives can make us stiff in our bodies, dissociated from our physical and emotional feelings, be only outwardly focused which often causes a sensory overload or overwhelm, anxiety, burn-out and even depression.
I'm offering you monthly workshops that will facilitate that (re)-connection with your body, your inner-peace and power. At the same time, I want to stay clear from making claims that Yoga is the silver bullet to a happy, healthy life but I know from my own experience it is a wonderful tool, a means to making our lives at least a little more wholesome.
I will be delighted if you let me guide you through a mindful practice which will consist of an asana sequence, mediation and relaxation for a couple of hours each month starting on Sunday 19 February 2023.
The workshop will be kindly hosted at the beautiful Chichester Memorial Hall in Sandgate.
