Veolia are the UK’s leading provider of environmental solutions for waste, water and energy.

Veolia's W2R Staffordshire Energy Recovery Facility plays a key role in Staffordshire County Council’s waste handling strategy.

The ERF is a partnership project for Staffordshire County Council and their partners, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council.

The facility uses the latest technologies to process up to 340,000 tonnes of waste which is not suitable for recycling or composting and would otherwise go to landfill to produce electricity to power the equivalent of 66,000 homes.

The facility will see savings of £250 million for the taxpayers of Staffordshire over the 25 year contract.
