Where's Wildlife in Ayrshire?

Where’s Wildlife in Ayrshire? was launched in October 2016 as a project of the South West Scotland Environmental Information Centre. The Where’s Wildlife in Ayrshire? project aims to further the appreciation, understanding and protection of the natural environment of Ayrshire by collecting, collating, managing and safeguarding relevant data and providing a focal point through which anyone may access the information.

South West Scotland Environmental Information Centre is one of a network of biological recording projects and centres that are located across the UK.

The South West Scotland Environmental Information Centre is hosted by Southern Uplands Partnership, a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity. The project aims to further the appreciation, understanding and protection of the natural environment of Ayrshire by collecting, collating, managing and safeguarding relevant data and providing a focal point through which anyone may access the information.

This 2-year project is part funded by The Scottish government and the European Union- Ayrshire LEADER 2014-2020 programme. Additional funding source are the Heritage Lottery Fund, East Ayrshire Council, North Ayrshire Council and South Ayrshire Council.
