The Where’s Wildlife in Ayrshire project is hosted by Southern Uplands Partnership, a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity. The project aims to further the appreciation, understanding and protection of the natural environment of Ayrshire by collecting, collating, managing and safeguarding relevant data and providing a focal point through which anyone may access the information.
The project was launched in October 2016 and the project forms one of a network of biological recording projects and centres across the UK.
The funding bid was successful and this 2-year project is part funded by The Scottish government and the European Union- Ayrshire LEADER 2014-2020 programme. Additional funding source are the Heritage Lottery Fund, and East, North and South Ayrshire councils.
