Getting started with Eventbrite Studio

Eventbrite Studio brings the power of design to the forefront, allowing organisers to create branded event listings. Choose a theme and customise it to create projects (a group of events that adopt the theme). Take your event to the next level with Eventbrite Studio!

<h2 id="01">Get started</h2> <h3 id="01-1">1. Eventbrite Studio troubleshooting list.</h3> <p>Events using these features will not adopt the design theme created for the project</p> <ul><li>eblink{Multiple dates and times added to a single event=&gt;https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/support/articleredirect?anum=3467}</li><li>eblink{Tracking Links=&gt;https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/support/articleredirect?anum=3296}</li><li>eblink{Password protection=&gt;https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/support/articleredirect?anum=3364}</li><li>URL&#39;s with promotional codes included — similar to tracking links, but in this case, the event listing loads with promotional codes (discount or access) already applied</li></ul> <h3 id="01-2">2. Choose a theme.</h3> <p>eblink{Log in=&gt;https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/studio/ target=_blank} to your Eventbrite account and eblink{visit the Eventbrite Studio page=&gt;https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/studio/}. Once you&#39;re in, you&#39;ll see &quot;My Projects&quot; and &quot;Pricing&quot; in the left-hand menu. Choose My Projects (if not already selected) to reference themes. To preview a theme, hover and select the left, &quot;Preview,&quot; button. To select a theme, hover and choose the &quot;Apply&quot; button on the right.</p> <h3 id="01-3">3. Create your project.</h3> <p>Click the Create button (located in the top-right of the screen). When you see &quot;Create your project&quot; at the top of the page, you&#39;re ready to get started! Projects:</p> <p>✅ Adopt the theme layout</p> <p>✅ Are customizable</p> <p>✅ Can have multiple events associated.</p> <p>When you assign an event to a project, the event listing takes on the custom design (theme) you created for the project. Any changes made to the them will apply to events added to the project.</p> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">TIP: You can add events to or remove events from a project at any time.</p> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">NOTE: eblink{Private and public events=&gt;https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/support/articleredirect?anum=5274} can be added to a project. Also, the publication status of your event (&quot;Live&quot; or &quot;Draft&quot;) does not affect your ability to add an event to a project.</p> <h2 id="02">Customise Projects</h2> <p>Every project has an &quot;Event List&quot; page and a page for each event in the project. Click a different item in the list to view that page in your editor. Use &quot;Add or Remove events&quot; to edit the events included in your project.</p> <h3 id="02-1">1. Choose your colour scheme.</h3> <p>Colour scheme changes apply to the &quot;Event List&quot; page and all event listings in the project. On the &quot;Create your project&quot; page, click Colours in the left-side options menu. Then select the colour swatch to change the:<br> </p> <ul><li>Background colour - background colour for the &quot;Event List&quot; page and event listing associated with the project</li><li>Text colour - font colour for text on the &quot;Event List&quot; page and event listing associated with the project</li><li>Accent colour - minor accent colour for the &quot;Event List&quot; page and event listing associated with the project</li><li>Button background - background colour for buttons on the &quot;Event List&quot; page and event listing associated with the project</li><li>Button colour - main colour for buttons on the &quot;Event List&quot; page and event listing associated with the project</li></ul> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">PRO TIP: eblink{Hex colour codes=&gt;https://www.w3schools.com/colours/colours_picker.asp target=_blank} can be entered to set a specific colour that matches your branding.</p> <h3 id="02-2">2. Set the typography.</h3> <p>Typography changes apply to the &quot;Event List&quot; page and all event listings in the project. On the &quot;Create your project&quot; page, click Typography in the left-side options menu. Then &quot;select a font&quot; for the:<br> </p> <ul><li>Header font - font style for header text on the &quot;Event List&quot; page and event listing associated with the project</li><li>Paragraph font - font style for body text on the &quot;Event List&quot; page and event listing associated with the project</li></ul> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">NOTE: Custom font styles can&#39;t be uploaded for use.</p> <h3 id="02-3">3. Create your &quot;Brand Profile&quot; (Logo, Company Name, Website, Main Image, and Social Links).</h3> <p>Brand Profile changes apply to the &quot;Event List&quot; page and all event listings in the project. Settings are used to generate the event organiser information shown for the event. On the &quot;Create your project&quot; page, click Brand Profile in the left-side options menu. Then update the following:<br> </p> <ul><li>Logo - logo image for the event organiser on the &quot;Event List&quot; page and event listing associated with the project (delete using &quot;Delete logo&quot;)</li><li>Company Name - company name for the event organiser on the &quot;Event List&quot; page and event listing associated with the project</li><li>Website - add an &quot;https://&quot; (secure) link to your personal website by entering the URL in the field under Website. The link will appear on the &quot;Event List&quot; page and event listing associated with the project.</li><li>Add a main image - select an image no larger than 10MB in size on the &quot;Event List&quot; page and event listing associated with the project (delete using &quot;Delete logo&quot;)</li><li>Social links - you can link to your Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages by adding the required details (secure link). Including your social media accounts allows you to further promote your brand.</li></ul> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">TIP: Entering an &quot;http://&quot; link will produce an error. Please enter an &quot;https://&quot; (secure) link to your website.</p> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">NOTE: Any images you use must be yours or adhere to Creative Common copyright licences. Flickr has a great Creative Commons section, and you can browse or search through content under each type of licence to find photos. We recommend using photos under &quot;Attribution Licence,&quot; which allows you to use the works as long as you give credit to the copyright owner.</p> <h3 id="02-4">4. Publish (make your project live).</h3> <ul><li>Ready to make your project live? Click the Publish button in the top right. &quot;Draft&quot; events associated with your project only adopt the design theme when published (&quot;Live&quot;).</li><li>Not ready to publish? Click the Save button to save your progress. Saved Projects appear under “My Projects” — come back to make edits and publish at a later date.</li></ul> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">TIP: The three icons to the right of the editing space (arranged vertically) let you to preview in a new tab, switch to a desktop view, or switch to a mobile-optimised view.</p> <h3 id="02-5">5. Adjust Settings (built-in domain and custom domain).</h3> <p>While a note to customise your URL (link) shows for unpublished projects, you can only do so after the project is published. Once published, you can set the:<br> </p> <ul><li>Built-in domain - Eventbrite Studio custom URL (link) used to promote the themed page where all associated events display. Special characters can cause issues, so it&#39;s recommended not to include them in this custom URL.</li><li>Custom domain - URL (link) for the website domain you own and operate independently of Eventbrite. After setup, your domain will point to the themed page where all associated events display.</li></ul> <p><br>SETTING UP YOUR DOMAIN:<br> </p> <ol><li>Log into the online provider or tool you use manage your domain.</li><li>Go to where you manage your domain settings (e.g., look for Zone File Settings, Manage Domains, Domain Manager, DNS Manager or something similar).</li><li>Return to Settings in the Eventbrite Studio project and copy the generated URL.</li><li>Paste the generated URL in the `CNAME`, `ALIAS` or `ANAME` section (where you manage your domain settings).</li><li>Save your changes.</li></ol> <p><br>THINGS TO NOTE:</p> <ul><li>You must own the domain.</li><li>Your domain must have an SSL certification. (eblink{learn more=&gt;https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/support/articleredirect?anum=41024})</li><li>The domain provider must offer full DNS access.</li><li>Domains can take up to 72 hours to connect, but usually connect within 24 hours.</li></ul> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">NOTE: You can&#39;t point a specific domain to a particular event page in a project.</p> <h2 id="03">Manage Projects</h2> You can manage projects on the &quot;My Projects&quot; page. Click the three-dot menu icon to the right of the project to access the Project Actions menu. Then select Edit, Duplicate, or Delete. <h3 id="03-1">1. Go to My Projects.</h3> <p>eblink{Log in=&gt;https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/studio/ target=_blank} to your Eventbrite account or eblink{sign up=&gt;https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/signup target=_blank} and eblink{visit the Eventbrite Studio page=&gt;https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/studio/}; there&#39;s no cost to create an account.</p> <h3 id="03-2">2. Edit, duplicate, or delete a project.</h3> <p>Click the three-dot menu icon to the right of your project to access the Project Actions menu. You can:<br> </p> <ul><li>Edit - edit the project</li><li>Duplicate - copy the project to create a new project with the same settings (does not also copy events associated with the project)</li><li>Delete - delete the project (does not also unpublish or delete any events associated with the project)</li></ul> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">TIP: If you accidentally duplicate (copy) a project, click the three-dot menu icon and select Delete to remove it.</p> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">NOTE: Deleted projects are permanently removed and can&#39;t be recovered.</p> <h2 id="04">Manage your subscription.</h2> <p>Return to &quot;eblink{Billing &amp; Subscription=&gt;https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/studio/billing}&quot; (in the left-side options menu). Here, you can manage your Eventbrite Studio subscription (e.g., update your payment information, change your plan, cancel your plan, etc.)</p> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">NOTE: At this time, we offer one plan with multiple billing options — pay monthly or annually.</p>
