How to view and manage settings for RFID scanning portals

To view data and manage settings for your RFID scanning portals, go to your events Manage page, in the menu select Access Control, and then select Devices. On the Manage Devices page you can see information about each scanning portal authenticated for this event. To edit a device’s settings (including zone and scan mode), click the 3 dots next to a device on the list.

NOTE: This list shows only scanning portals you have authenticated for this event, it does not show mobile devices.

1. Go to your Manage page.

After you eblink{log in=>https://www.eventbrite.ie/login target=_blank} and eblink{create an event=>https://www.eventbrite.ie/support/articleredirect?anum=5035}, find your event on the eblink{Manage Events=>https://www.eventbrite.ie/myevents} page. Then click Manage.

2. In the manage menu, select “Access Control” then select “Devices.”

3. View data on the Manage Devices page.

• Name • Battery - battery life remaining on the device • Zone - which zone the device is set for. • Location - the specific location within a zone the device is assigned to. • Scan Mode - “in” means the device is set to check in attendees into the event, “out” means the device is set to check people out of the event, ”[not configured]” means the device has not been set up to scan in either mode, and “validate” means the portal is in testing mode and the scans do not count against reporting. • Last Full Sync - the last time the device fully downloaded data to Eventbrite. • Last Connected - the last time the device connected to the internet.

NOTE: You cannot delete a device from this list.

4. Sort the list by clicking on one of the columns in the list.

EXAMPLE: If you click “Battery,” the devices in the list with be sorted by highest to lowest battery life. Click on “Battery” again to reverse the order and sort by lowest to highest battery life.

5. Use the search bar to find a device using the device name, zone, location, or scan mode.

Adjust settings for devices including zone, location, and scan mode.

1. Go to your Manage page.

2. In the manage menu, select “Access Control” then select “Devices.”

3. Select your device(s).

• If you want to edit one device: find your device on the list, click the 3 dots in the last column, and then click “Edit.” • If you want to edit multiple devices at once: check the box next to each device’s name, click the “Choose Bulk Action” dropdown at the top of the list, and then select “Edit.”

4. Edit the device(s) settings.

In the edit panel you can control settings for: • Zone - the zone the device is assigned to. • Location - the specific location within a zone the device is assigned to. • Scan Mode - Select “Check in”, “Check out”, or select “Validate” if you are testing the portal and do not want the scans to count against reporting. • Notes - use this area to record helpful notes about the device, such as “portal sound is broken.” If you are only editing one device, you can also view settings for that device, including: • Zone Policy - the policy associated with the zone, either “In / Out Enforced” or “Simple Check.” In/out enforced means an attendee must scan out before scanning back into that zone (prevents pass backs). Simple check means they can enter and exit without having to scan "out" of that zone. • Battery - battery life remaining on the device. • Last Sync - the last time the device fully downloaded data to Eventbrite. • Last Online - the last time the device connected to the internet.

TIP: Select “Reset” to reset the page back to the currently saved settings.

5. Click “Save” when you are done making changes to the device(s) settings.
