About this course

This is a short course on the developments and historical figures who contributed to the development of computers and computing. 

The course will look at the history of Bletchley Park and the role of the site during WWII. 

The session will look at the Enigma machine used to encrypt Nazi communications and the roles of key figures such as Tommy Flowers and Alan Turing. The presentation will examine how the work at Bletchley accelerated the development of computers. 

What will learners achieve by the end of the course? 

  • Learners will know more about the inventions, characters and circumstances that led to modern computers.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
