FOTU returns to Grimsthorpe Castle for its 10th anniversary!

For the 10th anniversary, the now iconicConcours de l’Ordinaire returns, joined by 100s of Unexceptional vehicles in the biggest and best FOTU yet!

Gates open on Saturday for Unexceptional and Classic vehicles at 7:30am, meaning you'll be able to get even more from your day at FOTU.

This is a birthday party afterall, so there's no need to leave once the prizes are awarded - we're bringing you more music and entertainment than ever before, with lots of food and drink options to keep you fed and watered into the evening!

Be sure to check all the 'Add On' options to get the most from the 10th anniversary Festival of the Unexceptional - here you can pre-order exclusive anniversary merch (dispatch of items will begin in May 2024).

Please note there will be two entrances to the venue for 2024

To ease queues and traffic on to the site, we will be utilising two entrances in to the site. All Classic, Unexceptional and Concours cars will be using the same entrance as previous years while modern cars will be using the main visitor entrance. Details will be confirmed in your joining instructions, and signage will be clear on the day.

Tickets are sold on a 'per car' basis, so pack as many friends into your Fiesta or mates into your Marina and make your way to Grimsthorpe Castle!

If you'd like to apply for this year's Concours, you can do so be heading to the Hagerty website and following the links from the Festival of the Unexceptional page.

As well as the concours, we'll have 100s of classics filling the fields, top-notch food and drink options and a whole host of traders to fill the day.

Our live stage, hosted by classic car journalist and TV host Charlotte Vowden, will return featuring interviews, live music and more!

Frequently asked questions

I want to enter my car in the concours - how do I do that?

Visit the Hagerty UK website and follow the links - the Concours is open to owners of any vehicle built between 1968 and 1998.

Is Grimsthorpe Castle accessible?

Grimsthorpe is a very old site - we do the best to make sure the venue is as accessible as possible, but please be aware that some areas may be challenging - the Concours enclosure, for example, features deep gravel that can be challenging to wheel chairs, buggies etc.

I'm a blue badge holder - is there disabled/accessible parking?

Yes - there is limited disabled/accessible parking. Please add a permit to your order via the 'Add Ons' section. There is no charge for this, but space is limited.

Is there food and drink available?

This might be the Festival of the Unexceptional, but the food and drink is anything but! We'll have a selection of top-notch vendors offering fab food and drink, along with a fully licensed bar. Want to bring your own picnic? Go for it!
