Exploring around Kampus and the Gay Village, hear of exploits and endeavours of Manchester’s residents of the past, across the 18th to 21st Centuries. With stories of daring and daft acts, campaigning and activism, secret and dangerous gatherings, ways to spend a spouse’s money, dress reform, the moon landing, and lots more.

Who are these netwalks for?

Business professionals who are interested in Manchester history, and like informal networking. Suitable whether you know the city very well or not at all.

Guests often work in law, accountancy, banking, property, marketing etc in the city and beyond.

Where and when?

Meet outside the Mechanics’ Centre/ Mechanics’ Institute, Princess St (near the entrance at the side on Major St)

The walk starts at 12.30pm and ends at 1.30pm but I’ll be there from 12.15pm for anyone who wants to fit in some networking before we start.

Practical details

Netwalks go ahead in all weathers, so please dress for the weather and a walk around town.

If you have COVID or COVID-symptoms, please do not attend.

Please let me know if you do not wish your name and company name to appear on a list of attendees.

The event does not include lunch.
