What can you do to support students with Mental Health challenges?
The aims of this 1 hour practial session are:

To provide you with information on the types of Mental Health problems you may be faced with from students

For you to be able to signpost students to the information and support facilities that the University has available to help them manage their mental health challenges
The session will be facliiated by Karen Cregan, Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management, Connie Hancock, Head of Department Business and Finance, Jamie Morris, Senior Wellbeing Manager from Student Futures and Dr Eileen Pollard, Lecturer in English.
Karen and Connie will be discussing the content and resources available within the Mental Health First Aid for Higher Education programme and Jamie will be advising colleagues of the work that Student Futures does to support students and the resources that are available.
Dr Eileen Pollard will be discussing the key resources she uses in her lectures that are useful for getting students to think about their own mental health and wellbeing as well as that of their friends and fellow students.
Throughout the session you will have the opportunity to ask questions and take part in group discussions
This session will be relevant to UG, PG, work based learners.
