Eventbrite signs ticketing partnership with MEGA Events
Supporting the efforts of pioneering independent UK experiential brand
LONDON, 23 July 2018 – Eventbrite, a global ticketing and event technology platform, which powered millions of events in more than 170 countries in 2017, has signed a ticketing partnership with MEGA Events (MEGA), a UK innovator in creating and delivering consumer experience events.
The partnership sees event concept and production company MEGA place its ticketing needs with Eventbrite. Mega events that will be ticketed by Eventbrite include Festival of The Dead, Pizza & Prosecco Festival, The Great British Gin Festival, and touring light, lantern and live performance club concept The Carnival of Light.
MEGA says that their approach of blending new event concepts with touring potential, production and performance sold over 200,000 tickets in 2017. Nathan Reed, Managing Director of MEGA, comments on the partnership:
“Our festivals and brands cover music, clubbing, food, drink and culture, and draw people in from across the UK and Europe; a ticketing partnership with Eventbrite felt like the right move to support our growth. At MEGA we use the latest technology and marketing techniques to promote our events and it is reassuring to know that with Eventbrite alongside us, our efforts are supported by matching cutting edge tools. We’re seeing experiential events grow in popularity each year, and I’m confident this new partnership will help us reach more people.”
Sally Pigott, Head of Festivals for Eventbrite UK adds:
“At Eventbrite, we love to work with experiential brands like MEGA as part of our ethos to support and grow a new generation of event organisers. Developing new, participative and long lasting festivals that tour across the UK and beyond requires great creativity, skill, and hard work, and I’m confident that adding Eventbrite’s Instagram and Facebook integrations can help MEGA even better connect and engage with their audience, and ultimately sell more tickets.”
