How are you dealing with the current situation we are facing? Some people are anxious, some people are worried, some people are confused and some others are coping well and thriving.The Mind, Body and Spirit for our time was created for people who would like to find out as a collaborative group how to thrive and succeed in these trying times.We had our 1st meeting on Sunday 5th April. From what the attendees said, it was a triumph.Here are some testimonials from a couple of attendees;It was wonderful to have a structured space for conversation. When you're feeling (or literally being) isolated even little annoyances and disruptions can get overwhelming, but you (Ken) conducted it all very well and it felt like everyone quickly got the hang of the online etiquette, listening closely and finding connection through shared experiences (even from life before Covid-19 began!) It wasn't just a place to vent or even to yell encouragements at each other. It felt as close to a natural discussion as we could get in the circumstances. I work in an extremely high-pressure environment - normally an office, now from home - and at times the sheer volume of what's coming in can be overwhelming. At work we are often being shouted at, by email and sometimes by phone or even - rarely, on a really bad day - in person. This was nothing like that. It was a respite. KateI found being in the first online gathering both comforting and constructive. Up till now I’d been relying on mental &amp; physical wellbeing tips forwarded by friends and guided meditations. Having a group that shares and listens, then sets up activities or support according to whats needed, is great. Ken brings kindness and energy to his facilitation of the group. I look forward to the dancing session happening soon! NickThere are 4 aspects to this that we will be looking into;1) How to adapt to an unaffected mindset to deal with the unexpected and the unknown caused by the situation. Through meditation and from looking at it from another angel and using the group as a support base.2) How to come up with a nutritious, tasty &amp; immune boosting meal plan to suit your style of eating3) Creating a stamina boosting exercise programme that suits you but also effective and fun to do.4) Offering peer support to individuals to come together and openly talk about how the situation is personally affecting them and coming up with innovative solutions to help deal with those situations positively and proactively.- As a result of the 1st session, from what people requested, we are now hosting weekly Mind, Body, Spirit, Bliss, Stillness movement/dance meditation sessions.And we are offering other online events such as immune boosting cooking lessons which is now happening regularly..We have a group Whatsapp Page and a Meetup group. We are building a community of spirited, mindful, supportive people from all over the world to join together via zoom.It is very much a community that we are building with these sessions, not just me offering help, I act as a catalyst and we as a group are now looking for others to join us to make the group larger and offer support and a listening ear to help lift members mind, body and spirit so together we all can be energised and rise above our situation.Obviously this cant be done in one 1 hour webinar but this is a start and something for the future for me and the group to start collaborating on.So, do register to the session on 5th July and we will set everything up and carry on from then.The session is limited to 7 free joiners and 8 donation based joiners. A donation could be anything from £5 to whatever works for you.The free sessions are for people who are sick, unemployed or self employed and adversely effected by the current crisis.
