Norfolk Record Office (NRO) collects and preserves unique archives relating to the history of Norfolk and makes them accessible to people all over the world.The events listed here are run from our base at The Archive Centre, Martineau Lane, Norwich.   Free parking is available at County Hall for Archive Centre users. <h3>IN-PERSON EVENT</h3><p>In 1796 the notorious radical London poet and lecturer, John Thelwall arrived in Great Yarmouth to deliver his historical lectures, an event that ended in serious rioting.</p><p>Join us to mark the generous donation of manuscripts, by the John Thelwall Society and celebrate the intellectual culture of Norfolk in the 18th and 19th Centuries.</p><p><br></p><h3>Norfolk Archives and Heritage Development Foundation (<a href="https://norah-df.org.uk/supporter-scheme/" title="https://norah-df.org.uk/supporter-scheme/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NorAH</a>) supporters can attend for free.
