Sanctuary Comedy Special 2024

We are a volunteer-run charity based in Hastings and part of the national City of Sanctuary UK network, which holds the vision that our towns and cities will be welcoming places of safety for people fleeing violence and persecution.We work closely with sister organisation Hastings Supports Refugees and many other groups locally, nationally and internationally.

Hastings Community of Sanctuary and Freedom From Torture East Sussex have teamed up again with Hastings' comedy kings Kamikaze Komedy.Expect lots of laughs and an auction of fantastic promises, under the expert eye of MC Tim B'vard, from the legendary Bavard Bar.All funds raised will go to support the vital work of both charities. FFT provides specialist psychological therapy to help asylum seekers and refugees who have survived torture recover and rebuild their lives in the UK. They also provide training for professionals working with torture survivors, and campaign for change in the UK and across the world.Hastings Community of SanctuaryHastings Community of Sanctuary (HCoS) is a local volunteer-run charity committed to building a culture of welcome for people seeking sanctuary in our town. We work to raise awareness of the issues facing refugees and people seeking asylum, run collections for essential items and raise funds to support local projects.
