<h4>We are back!!! And very much looking forward to welcoming you back to our Journal Club!</h4> The Footsteps Festival Journal Club is for ANYONE who is interested in research into pain, in any way.Whether you are someone who lives with pain, a professor of neuroscience, a new PhD student, a clinician or someone who cares for someone who lives with pain or any combination of those - we want the widest and most informal and relaxed discussion of pain science via new (or interesting) journal papers.<h3> </h3>Join us at 7.00pm BST on Thursday 3rd October 2024 on Zoom. <h4>On our return from a summer break we are delighted to be joined Cass Macgregor.</h4>Cass (and possibly others from her research team) will give an overview of their recent paper that shows the process of coming to terms with long-term pain for the individual as a fluid and continuous journey that takes place within our social, cultural &amp; political worlds. We can conceptualise these complex processes as an ecosystem. Experiences of inequalities may impact on an individual’s journey and we take this into the work. <a href="https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/20494637241250271" title="https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/20494637241250271" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The open access paper can be found here,</a> but reading it is NOT a requirement for attending. We will be running this monthly - on the first Thursday of every month - check out Eventbrite for booking. <h3>If you have an idea or want to present let us know on info@Footstep-Festival.co.uk</h3>Please join us for a very informal, friendly and relaxed discussion club on various research papers on the very wide topic of the pain sciences - we hope that we can encourage peoples interest in various subjects though the latest and interesting publications in these fields. We want this to be open to anyone with an interest in pain - whether you live with pain or care for someone who does and want to learn more about your experience and what the latest research is covering, or you are in academia yourself and want to join a mixed group to widen your influences, or if you are a health care professional and want to catch up on thoughtsEveryone is equal in our club... We also have visiting guest academics to discuss their own papers or interests - and hope that we can grow this club to fit whatever its participants want it to be for most gain - come and help us do so!Please note that this is a FREE event.

<h4>Regulars will be aware we like to support researchers - that being so, we add here a request for participants for some fascinating research from Abraham at Teesside University</h4>
