Designed for frontline staff and volunteers, active in local VCOs, looking to develop & enrich their awareness of the menopause.

Reading Central Library

This interactive session will include:<ul><li>introduction to and overview of menopause</li><li>myth-busting</li><li>case studies</li><li>attitudes, beliefs and approaches across different communities</li><li>'hidden menopause' symptoms</li><li>toolkits and resources</li></ul>and plenty of time for questions.Refreshments will be provided.Trainer biographyDr Shilpa McQuillan is the founder and clinical lead of <a href="https://berkshiremenopauseclinic.com/" title="https://berkshiremenopauseclinic.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Berkshire Menopause Clinic</a>, a dedicated specialist menopause and women's health clinic based in Henley. She is a British Menopause Society accredited menopause specialist, NHS community gynaecologist and women’s health GP.She began her medical career in hospital gynaecology, before moving into community gynaecology, and further qualifying as a women’s health GP. With over fifteen years’ experience in this field, she found growing numbers of women asking for dedicated perimenopause and menopause support, which inspired her to train to the highest qualification in advanced menopause practice and establish her own clinic.As a local resident, Dr Shilpa set up the clinic to serve the community, and it is at the heart of everything she does.She offers the highest level of expertise in all aspects of women’s health, providing care to those who have struggled to find solutions elsewhere, and women with complex medical backgrounds.Please note: re cancellations - if you are unable to attend and cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, we may have to charge your organisation.
