<p>Dylan Hartley is a retired English rugby union player, best known for his role as captain of the England national team. Born on March 24, 1986, in Rotorua, New Zealand, Hartley moved to England as a teenager and represented Northampton Saints throughout his club career, making over 250 appearances. A tenacious hooker, he earned 97 caps for England between 2008 and 2018. Renowned for his leadership, Hartley captained England to two Six Nations titles, including a Grand Slam in 2016. Despite a reputation for disciplinary issues, he is regarded as one of England’s most influential rugby captains. Hartley retired in 2019 due to injury.</p>
