Bangla Week Launch | Family Arts Day

Legacy WM is a registered charity that has its roots in celebrating the heritage of post-war migrant communities in Birmingham. Our work highlights their relationship to the industrial, architectural, and cultural heritage of the city. Early projects included tracing migrant journeys through food, and developing a local heritage trail.In the past five years we have developed and extended our work to involve the second and third generations, to recognise and support their contribution to our city.We have adopted four new priorities:HeritageWellbeingThe ArtsCommuntity CohesionThese priorities enable Legacy WM to develop and deliver culturally diverse, creative, and interactive projects for many different audiences, in response to a range of needs.

Soho House Museum

BADA launches Bangla Week with a Family Arts Day at the heart of Handsworth.Take part in live drawings with local animator Waheeda, Rahman-Mair and design your own totes and jewellery for keepsake. Hop on stage for a sing-along or throw some shapes on the dance floor. Fancy a game of carrom? Or a breather with a cuppa chai at the gallery and view the beautiful paintings and graphics exhibition by visual artist Ruhul Islam.
