The session addresses the significant counter terrorism risk - self initiated extremism that can lead to terrorism.

A phenomenon almost exclusively that takes place online, this session will look at how and in what ways this can happen, as well as considering some online and offline solutions for professionals, teachers, and communities.Activities and structure: There will be a formal presentation slides and we will be incorporating activities you'll be participating in as well.Resources that we'll share with on completion: After completing our feedback form, you will be given access to our online portal with additional resocures to continue your learning Learning outcomes | Topics that will be covered: <ul><li>Participants understand concepts like self-initiated terrorism, as well as theories related to how it comes about.</li><li>Participants recognise symbols, language, and propaganda often included in online spaces, as well as how they can radicalise</li><li>Participants understand laws related to extreme and hateful content in an engaging manner</li><li>Participants recognise susceptibility to harmful information, with a focus on SEMH and SEND needs especially online</li><li>Participants are more confident in online and offline solutions to these problems, as well as when to intervene</li></ul> Details of those who have registered may be shared with funders for monitoring purposes.
