<h3>On Sunday October 20th, Pamela Roberts will give a talk at the Old Fire Station cafe, the talk is free to attend and books will be available to purchase on the day, advance booking is essential. Refreshments will be available to purchase in the cafe, Doors 16:30pm, event will start around 16:45pm</h3><p><br></p><h3>Pamela Roberts</h3><p><br></p><h3>Pamela Roberts is a distinguished creative producer, historian, and author dedicated to illuminating the hidden gems of history. With a career marked by collaborations with prestigious institutions like the University of Oxford, Bodleian Libraries, The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and Arts Council England, Pamela has a remarkable ability to uncover and share stories often overlooked by traditional narratives.</h3><h3>A Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and the Royal Historical Society, Pamela excels at transforming archival materials into captivating experiences through theatre, literature, and engaging lectures. Her acclaimed works include<em><em> Black Oxford: The Untold Stories of Oxford University's Black Scholars</em></em> and <em><em>The Adventures of a Black Edwardian Intellectual—The Story of Antiguan Scholar James Arthur Harley.</em></em></h3><h3>Pamela’s insightful writing has been featured in BBC History Magazine and Oxford University Press’s biographical dictionaries, and she has appeared on Dan Snow’s History Hit Podcast. As the founder and director of<em><em> Black Oxford Untold Stories</em></em>, Pamela celebrates the contributions and legacies of Oxford’s Black scholars from the early 20th century to today. Through lecture programs, creative projects, and guided bus and walking tours, she brings history to life, making it accessible and inspiring for all.</h3><h3><br></h3><p><br></p><p><br></p>
